Process for Pre-registration Training Grant Applications
Note: From 2025/26, the Foundation Trainee grant will increase from £18,440 to £26,500 per trainee.
A new process for claiming the Foundation Trainee (previously the Pre-Reg Trainee) Grant was introduced in September 2023. Pharmacy owners can register trainee pharmacists through the NHSBSA’s MYS portal. Payments will be made monthly, covering the period between the grant application and the start of training.
