20th March 2018 19.00

John Lister Postgraduate Centre, Wexham Park Hospital (Entrance 4), Slough, SL3 6LY

Thames Valley LPF are pleased to welcome Dr Vanessa Raymont as our guest speaker to update us on the development and management of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias.  Dr. Raymont’s interests are in traumatic brain injury, cognitive disorders and dementia, as well as clinical trials in cognitive impairment. She is currently working as part of the EPAD (European Prevention of Alzheimer’s Dementia) Consortium to establish a pan-European network of Trial Delivery Centres to undertake Proof of Concept secondary trials for prevention of Alzheimer’s dementia.

Her talk will focus on how research is helping develop strategies for reducing risk for, or even preventing dementia, as well as how clinical services will need to adapt to this growing need. It will also cover updates on current management for mild cognitive impairment and dementia, as well as practical advice for patients and carers.

Please book via the RPS website.   Note: This meeting is open to non-members and both members and non-members should be able to register via the RPS website under Thames Valley LPF. If anyone is having problems registering, please contact Jane Nicholson advising that they wish to attend (jane@nicholj.plus.com) and indicating whether they would like refreshments.
