This event is a follow up session to the RPS System Leadership Event in October 2019 and will focus on the emergence of Primary Care Networks (PCN), the local implementation of the national guidance in the Frimley Health & Care Integrated Care System (ICS), how PCNs will deliver integrated care in Slough and the essential role of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in general practice both in delivering sustainable service access and delivering within PCNs and the key role of the Pharmacist.

Dr Jim O’Donnell, GP Partner and Principal, Locality Lead for Slough within East Berkshire’s Clinical Commissioning Group and the Frimley Commissioning Collaborative and member of the Frimley ICS Board.

3. Understand the importance of ‘place’ in modern delivery of integrated primary care This meeting is open and relevant for all pharmacists, pre-registration trainees, 3rd and 4th year pharmacy students. The events if free for RPS and BPSA members, a fee is payable by non-members

Speaker biography
Dr O’Donnell completed his GP training in Portsmouth and throughout his career has been interested in clinical governance and education. He sits on the Frimley ICS Board, is Deputy Chair of the Slough Wellbeing Board and Co-Chair of the Slough Health and Care Partnership Board. In the past he held a cardiology post at Wexham Park Hospital and also worked in the pharma industry on novel treatments for ischaemic heart disease. He is a Founder Champion for Thames Hospice in Windsor.
Car parking instructions at the hospital
New parking instructions are: turn into Entrance 4 Entrance 4 (South side of the Hospital in Wexham Park Lane, marked psychiatry and maternity off Church Lane) as before. Drive straight ahead, past the single-storey Postgraduate Centre on the right, to the car park barrier ahead of you which is outside the maternity entrance, take a ticket in order to raise the barrier and pay on exit with money or a card.
Please note the car park in front of the Postgraduate Centre is for staff only!
Attendance certificates will be provided at the end of the evening on completion of an event evaluation form
