The focus of this programme is the role of the pharmacy team in supporting people with type 2 diabetes. Discussion will include: the factors affecting the development of type 2 diabetes, treatment of type 2 diabetes, control of blood glucose and minimising the risks of developing diabetes complications. The newer hypoglycaemic agents are reviewed together with the relevant guidelines and policy documents.
